Hi All: This is a list of things you might need to research Bigfoot.
1. Camera. Digital or regular 35 mm. 2. Video camera with auto zoom off. Auto zoom can mess things up so turn it off. 3. Plaster of Paris: Used to make casting of tracks. Remember to add sthingy, bowl, and a contaner of water.
These are the basic things you should have with you when investigating a Bigfoot sighting or looking for a Bigfoot.
Learn how to use each each piece of equipment before going out in the field. Til Later

Vance, You mentioned that you'd need plaster to cast any tracks found, just suggesting dental plaster. It sets alot faster; in about 15 minutes, gives more detail to the cast and lasts a lot longer. Also carry a can of aerosol hairspray and spray the print before casting. This sets the debris in the print so it doesn't end up all over the plaster. My kids and I cast all kinds of prints and using the hairspray works great. Just thought you'd like to know this trick.

Vance, Just thought of some more things you might want to take with you. A good pair of binoculars and if you have a digital camera make sure it's a fairly good one. When using the zoom on any camera you lose clarity at maximum zoom. Also it helps to have all your supplies together like in a knapsack or bookbag, specifically for Bigfoot hunting, so it's easier to carry around. We spot for deer and other wildlife every night while camping and a good spot light may also come in handy, keeping it in your vehicle at all times.

Good observation, most people wouldn't think that they might get hurt while out tracking. I've heard of people actually carrying the airpressure horns, like you see a ball games, for signaling and they work to scare bears away too!!
